Business Development Manager Manager – LITHO / DIGITAL / DIRECT MAIL / PACKAGING

HOMEBASED

£35k to 45k (dependant on experience)  + Commission + Mobile + Laptop + Car or Company Car

We provide complete print services from design & manufacturing through to delivery for litho, web & digital commercial printing, mailing, packaging and promotional print services to a diverse range of businesses, organisations, governments and charities across the whole of the UK.

Being one of the UK’s leading Print Suppliers, we are looking for a strong sales candidate with a background in one or more of the following areas, Litho, Digital, Mailing / Direct Mail, Promotional and Packaging. You will be given full support to flourish within a very successful business and play a key part in growing the sales team going forward.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To identify, develop and close new business opportunities that will contribute to the company’s growth objectives.
  • Joining an experienced team and building on an already successful career promoting the companies full product range.
  • Key to the success of the role will be your ability to utilise the company’s wide-ranging resources to differentiate them and the company from well-established competitors operating in a competitive and resource-demanding market.
  • A proven track record in rapidly developing strong relationships at the decision-maker level of prospect companies.
  • An ability to think strategically as well as focus on short-term transactions will be necessary to achieve the company’s short and long term sales goals.
  • Target, develop and understand new markets and sales relationships to increase sales volume and maximise profitability in line with or to exceed budget.
  • Work with the management team to ensure they understand, agree and assist in pursuing new business and new markets opportunities.
  • Project manage the introduction of new customers into the business ensuring their effective handover to the account management teams.
  • Feedback to the business relevant market information.
  • Actively promote the company products and work in conjunction with internal departments.
  • The position is home based covering anywhere in the UK to suit the candidate
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Requirements / Requirements:

  • You will be from a litho / digital / mailing / direct mail or packaging sales background.
  • You will have the ability and confidence to source new business, cold call, follow leads, record and monitor them.
  • You will have excellent communication and presentational skills.
  • Able to work comfortably in a team or to work alone.
  • You will have a good eye for detail.
  • You will demonstrate a ‘can do’ approach to work.

Telesales for Promotional Merchandise

Based in Glasgow, Think Solutions are one of Scotland’s leading print companies providing marketing and advertising solutions to clients to help promote their brand, their message and their event internally or to existing clients and new target audiences.   As part of the companies continued growth, they have started offering their clients throughout the UK solutions to the promotional requirements

Our role is to find the most effective forms of advertising for the campaign in question. These forms include:

  • Merchandise – putting their name on just about anything from a Jaffa Cakes to a marquee, although the most popular items include pens, mugs, USB, pads and clothing.
  • Printed literature – paper based items as small as an invitation or as large as an exhibition stand

Although much of what we supply is “standard” off the shelf items which we then bespoke in terms of logo branding, there is also a more diverse side too – creating unique ideas.

Being a small company with big ambitions, the successful candidate will need to be creative, able to think outside the box and identify the best solutions for clients’ needs.

The role will be demanding, especially at first to identify and establish a new client base for this exciting new division of the company. The position will be office based (a telesales role) as much can be accomplished over the phone/emails. Candidates need to work within the team but also need to be self-driven and self-motivated. Previous sales experience is essential, ideally within the promotional merchandise marketplace but this isn’t a necessity.

Most requirements come from marketing departments within medium sized companies, although we have numerous household names as well as many small companies in our portfolio.

The working week is Monday-Friday 9.00am to 5.0pm. Lunch is half an hour. Holidays are set at 20 days per annum plus bank holidays.
